I need to hire a structural engineer to look into reinforcing a floor (hardwood on raised foundation) for a big new tank. Any recommendations? Gracias.

I took one structural engineering class as an elective for my Electrical Engineering major. I doubt if that qualifies as structural engineer.:(

Sounds like a fun project. How big will be the tank ?

the tank is 72Wx22Dx48H, about 240g when you subtract out the acrylic thickness, and filled it will be about 6x the weight the floor was designed to hold. :eek:
