Do Aiptaisia Move???

Do Aiptaisia move around like other anemones?

I picked up some freebie macro tonight, and when I got ready to put it in the tank, I found this little anemone stuck to it. It's brown, but doesn't really LOOK like an aiptaisia. It has a large foot for it's size, and definitely moves around, and rights itself if it happens to get upside down.

I wasn't sure exactly what it was, so I didn't want to toss it. I plunked it in my new ten...if it survives, great. If it don't...oh well.

Yes....aiptasia does move. With luck, it's one of the slower reproducing ones (majano?).

Well, once it opened up, it was clearly aiptaisia...so it went away!

I just didn't look like one last night. I must have been tired.

Luckily, it had anchored on the glass, so was easily removed with a razor and a turkey baster...

One of the biggest aips I've ever had in my tank!
