when you change the tempature of your bulbs does it stress out the corals and make it turn brown? i went from a unknown blue metal halide bulb to 10k.

I would hang (if possible) the MH up a couple of inches higher and see how they respond. If you can't do that, then place a piece of egg crate over the tank to lessen the intensity. Even switching same temp bulbs (10K to 10K) can stress out corals. It's one of those things you just have to play by ear.

I always cut my time in half and then add an hour every 3-4 days until I'm back up to my normal run time.
