Power outage :(

Power has been out since around midnight and my work does not sympathize with reef tank emergencies. Hoping for the best since I don't get off until 6:30pm.

I don't think the temp will be an issue, just oxygen level in the 3.3g. The 24g isnt stocked yet, just 5 zoo rocks. I will be devistated if the 3.3 is lost.

Battery operated air pump that goes on when the power goes off. Lasts about 12 hours on new batteries. Worth the investment!

yep my power is out too since 10:30 lastnight and sdge says it wont be back on till 9 but now the site says it wont be until 11am. is there anything i can do to prevent any loss.. PLEASE HELP if you have any ideas of what i could do.

I am going to invest in a battery operated pump. Can't believe SDGE didn't inform us. Roommates didn't know it was a planned outage either. Grrr.

How can they cut the power for a "planned outage" without notifying all who will be affected? I would be after them for any losses. Hope your tanks make it through in good shape.

well glad to know my tank is ok now that the power is back on, atleast i know my tank can go 17hrs without power. sure hope it dosnt happen again....
