How about a sticky in the lounge of members phone #'s (that would like to participate) so we can minimize the threads of ppl asking for 1 particular number, I know I could use it.

For example the thread would be simple where ppl can just post there #'s, for example:

Name: Jordan
SN: seahorse_man
#: (858)487-3460

Am I the only one that thinks this is a good idea? Lets here some more opinions....

Not a *bad* idea, but it should absolutely be in the Premium lounge (NOT public) and moderated so that users can only post their own number.

not really...... and plus ppl already get telemarketer calls, not to mention it is for the ppl that WANT TO PARTICIPATE..... like the ones that already have their #'s in random posts

so then only premium members can be trusted?? That doesn't make sense.

The simple fact is that there aren't enough people that will be comfortable in putting their phone number out in the open for anyone to see.

My logic is that it's a private area of the site, therefore my sleazebag friends, stalker girlfriends, whiny boss, and annoying telemarketers can't just look up my number.
If you're not comfortable putting your number public, don't. It should be an opt-in system.
My cell is provided by my job anyways, so my number is everywhere.

What number of ppl is ''enough'' even if there are only 5 ppl that do it, it will do nothing but help.

Our you can make it a post so only members can see it, I don't a telemarketer is going to join just for a number....

there are people that join just to spam, whats the difference?

Spamming a website is different than telemarketers calling and bugging you, I guess there is spam calling, but I have NEVER heard of that or seen it happen on SDR.

Yeah, I know, I have to much to say about annoyances.

Anyway, I'm done.......

I'm not trying to argue against this, it would be nice if it works...

maybe we can add an option on ppl profile to list a number and they can do so there

I like your idea Jordan,

I'll help out with automotive stuff and if you need some manpower on a saturday or sunday let me know, I'll help out as long as food is being provided (and my girlfriend doesnt have the day off). =P

...and if you are a telemarketer... you better have a DAMNED good product to sell, or be in for a long random talk!
