New to the forum but am trying to figure out plumbing for my 60g tank. I would like to work with a sump underneath but want to avoid drilling the tank. I am trying to think of a way to have the overflow go over the lip of the tank. Because of this I would assume that a pump would be needed to pump water up and then down into the sump. Does anyone have ideas/pictures/links and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

just get an over flow box... no pump needed when you have gravity :) there are ones with pumps as well... use the search function on the site it should help you out a lot

yeah, i've got an overflow setup and i like it a lot. I like the overflow boxes because they use way less room in the tank than a drilled overflow, it's totally accessible and servicable, and it makes you rest at night better because there aren't any holes drilled into load bearing glass :)
