need lights urgently!!!

so i smelled something burning in my room, and sure enough there was a smell of smoke soming from my multiple plug in thingy, it turns out the external overflow stopped working and it got the two ballasts wet stupidly enough i thought that they would still work if i unplugged them so i try to unplug and i get shocked, so now im looking all over my house for something that resembles tank lights, i cant find anything but my cheap o fuge light... does anyone have any lights i can borrow or trade for live stock since i have NO cash :(... urgent i lost them today and im not sure how long xenia and such will last, lmk call me for a faster response, 619 318 6136 ask for victor

well the tank is a 24 gallon aquapod so , about 24 inch lights, i had some birdsnest so, whatever keeps them alive should be fine.

FWIW Vic, you'll be ok without lights for a few days. I used to turn mine off for several days to help deal with algae issues. Sorry to hear about the scare, glad you were home to catch it before the situation could have been a lot worse.

Give some tank specs on the light you need, I believe you said nano but what kind of light did you have on it and what size do you need?

Flood lights worked great on my freshwater planted setup. Should be alright in a nano.

Looking at the timestamps on your profile it's at least twice a month for a total of over 40 sales the last year man which averages out to roughly $500+ if you have sold all your livestock/equipment. :ohsnap: It's an expensive hobby, Just buy a used fixture or borrow one of the nice offers from fellow reefers and save yourself the loss of livestock.

It's not assuming when you've got ALOT of for sale post on your profile then turn around and say you DON'T sell anything on here. I'm all for helping folks out, ask anyone that's dealt with me but when you come off one month talking about you are in need of money and will take any pif and your family misses your tank and asking people to help you out by pif things to you, then turn around and have for sale posts left and right the month after?! That is what pisses me off. A. You are not telling the truth and taking things that could benefit others that could really use it. B. You are not that needy since you have things for sale at least twice a month for the last year. You can't sell pif things so you have to acquire the things you sell somehow right? Also, Trading off pif items for other things so that you can sell them for profit is also frowned upon man. So if you don't claim A & B, then obviously the income is there to buy things and sell back, if so then why all these posts about needing $. You're abusing kind hearted people who want to help others out. Don't hate cause i called you out. The posts on your profile don't lie man. Just my 2 cents of what i've observed the time i've been here.

look, idk what kind of person takes time off their life (unless they have none) to budge into others people business. in response to your comments A. i only took about 3 things that were pif'd to me and i greatly appreciated the things that were given to me by Dese and such i still have all of those things. and if i had traded some of those things then let the people that pif'd them to me tell me something, please B. whenever i do get money from my parents i go buy stuff and trade them for other things as to get some profit to make my tank look a little better, i hate that you act as if you were omnipresent and you knew every little move i made.. C. i too pif things, when people come to my house i more than often throw something in the bag for them, wether it be zoos or anything ive got. so please refrain from budging into my posts and pestering these forums as i NEVER budge into yours.
