29929 Can anyone identify the these brown polyp looking critters, they are popping up everywhere and nothing seems to grow next to them. They appear to sting like aptasia, and they quickly close when touched

Viewing on my phone I can't quite make them out... Perhaps mojanos?

Ditto LotsaFishies, have a crap load in my tank. Joe's Juice works quite well on them. Keep them in check or get rid of them now cause they spread pretty quickly.

Are there different types of Mojano's these do not look like the images I see when I Google Majono's, the images I see are anemone looking these are more polyp looking.

The above image is what I see when I google Mojano. The ones I have do not have "stalks" they are flush to the rock, like zooanthids

really tough to tell, the stalks could be in holes in the rock. But they don't look like majanos to me, just some sort of brown paly IMO.

Is it open at night when your lights are off? If it is, then I would nuke it.

Good question I will look tonight, and yes if does stay open at night I will juice them.

another thing- If you are able to remove the rock that has them on it if you decided to juice 'em up, I would try and take it out. When i first started my tank i tried to do joes juice inside the tank and it was a bad idea. I lost half my frogspawn colony.
