I can't really find anything negative to say about my LifeReef protein skimmer; it skims, I clean out the mess every week, it skims again. It's designed to keep from overflowing if it produces too much skimmate, but I'm far from that level.
There's so much controversy about the efficiency of various types of skimmers. And, there are "bigger and better" models coming out every week, it seems. So, that's kept me from “upgrading” the skimmer to some other brand.
(sorry for the late response....configuring a new laptop.....then, win7 in Oct!).
