Ok, so I don't have a camera that can take a picture of these things. they are little ovoid blobs.. not quite clear but translucent. maybe 1mm across or so. One of my rocks with some palythoas has about 1/3 of the polyps closed up. Most of them have these little blobs on them. any idea what these are?

probably flatworms?
try to siphon out as much as you can, and then dose flatworm eXit.
run some carbon and do a wc after.
zoa pox? get some hydrogen peroxide...and dip
do some more research before you do anything unless you can get a pick...
this is a good place to start:

This seems to be the closest to what I see, but the flatworms, even the clear ones that I can find pics of online, have more shape to them than what I see. although they could be balled up on the palys and therefore look like little oval shapes.
zoa pox? get some hydrogen peroxide...and dip
doesn't look like zoa pox
do some more research before you do anything unless you can get a pick...

lots of great info on that site, but nothing there looks like what I have.
Thanks for all the help so far.. i'll see if i can get a pic tomorrow. So far just did a fresh water dip of the only rock that seems to be affected.

so the freshwater dip did not help. I haven't been to the LFS to get Flatworm exit to try that, but can anyone identify these things. It's certainly not getting any better.
post it on reef central I bet you get a response with what they are / prognosis / treatment within a day

Update: So I don't see any of the little clear blobs that were on the zoas anymore. It appears that some of the zoas survived and have opened up and others have wilted and don't look like they'll recover. My turbos and hermits have been all over the rock.. either eating dead zoas or whatever was killing the zoas. All in all about two thirds of the zoas on the rock look like crap.. but nothing else, not even the other zoas have been affected. Hopefully that's the end of it.
