My royal gramma had ick, I fed it garlic laced food and it went away, then the ick came back so I got kick ich, and now it is even worse and I think all my fish either have it or will soon.

I have tons of corals and CAN NOT use the things I need in this tank.

any ideas?

Gotta get fish QT'd so you can treat them.

Ick cocktail? Is that garlic soaked food at every feeding?

focus, metro, and garlic. soak the food for like 10 min and stir, and add. I got both if you want to give it a shot. Ich sucks.

QT treat with copper. Copper's worked the best for me. Run a UV on the DT or run it fallow for a couple months. Only way it's leaving and not coming back.

If use freeze dried brine or mysis it really soaks it up. The add just what they will eat, wait, repeat. Even if you DO NOT have ick, it is a good idea to do this every week at one feeding. Ounce of prevention. My fish do a frenzy thing when they are fed the cocktail.

What exactly do you soak it in?

The Cocktail Recipe:

In a clean small glass or plastic dish.

-Add one measure Metronidazole (spoon comes with it)
-Add one measure Focus (spoon comes with it)
-Add one capful Garlic Guard (cap comes on it)

Stir thoroughly with a clean stick thingie.

-Add freeze dried brine or mysis.

Stir thoroughly with a clean stick thingie.

Add a few drop of tank water if necessary until the shrimp has "plumped."
Feed just what they will eat right away. Fridge the rest. Use later.

*If infected- every feeding (twice daily) every day for 5 days. It clears after 2-3 days.
*If not infected- once a week for prevention.

***Introducing new fish, especially those prone to ick - Feed as if infected.
Been ick free for two years.:bounce:

This parasite occurs naturally in our tanks. In my never to be humble opinion, it can never truly be eradicated. All it take is the introduction of one new fish or coral and "they're back."

(Who knows who those fish have been sleeping with?)

My RG died, my male clarki is now acting lethargic. No signs of ick on him though.

All of my fish have gone to the hospital ala Jon's house, so far I lost my royal gramma which I had forever and my black capped basslet which was a new addition, looks like it was an ick / velvet combo.
