Does the cpr have a powerhead? MJ1200 or rio600?

The CPR has the RIO 600, I tried the MJ1200 that was on the HOT-1 skimmer for a while on the CPR, and all I really got was more water flow, the skimming is still the same I thought. Would like to have tried the airstone trick with a air pump and go thru the center of the cup to make more bubbles inside the reaction chamber to create more dry foam with the cup adjusted all the way to the top, heard it works real good.
