Thanks marlo

of course for you it's free ;). do you think you can get anymore syringes? i think i got about 6 more as of now.

gene, got you down for big one. i know how your tanks are... maybe it'd jus be easier to swim in your tank w/ a turkey baster and target feed that way :p. LOL

My 30, I consider it a nano- I believe the lenght on the wand was 22" that should reach the bottom.

how tall is the tank? the total length isn't the factor to question. it's the length of the rigid tube that determines on how big of a tank you can use it, because it's the part you hold. the syringe and airline should never have to be submerged. i think i reg would be best for you. the nano would work for someone w/ a 20L, 15reg or long, and anything below.

yeah, just cruising around and I came upon this thread, I was kinda curious what the wand was like since I need one myself.

I use a piece of 1/8" rigid air line, just cut the end off at an angle to make a point.

Quite a nice piece of engineering this feeder is! Had to replace the syringe a couple of times but it's still going strong after 2 years. It's able to reach all spots in my tank and allows for super fine feeding control. Here's a shot for you DIY'er if Marlo doesn't crank some more out:

Note: the other end of the rigid tube is bent at a 45 degree angle. This allows you to hit all the awkward spots.

Jessy
10-16-2007, 08:54 PM
any left? I don't think there were any to begin with. This was a tread drudged up from the depths. But Marlo if your out there, I have 3 gorgs, a sunpolyp, and a chilli coral dying to be fed by your little invention.

I was only asking for a pic so I could make my own but everybody went bonkers!!!

The guy who started the thread has not even chimed in, and I really doubt he has any of these wands for sale since he doesn't even know anybody is interested.

DUHHHHHH!!!

JK :D :p

ps. thanks for the pics minh

No worries, Ivan. It's a great design and not too difficult to make. The difficult part is finding the right syringe to hook up to the section of flexible airline. Like Dennis said, Marlo is busy with work and school so if he doesn't want to churn these out anymore, I can make a couple for people who are interested.

I actually bought a syringe that is meant for cooking, it has a tapered tip that can accommodate the airline tubing perfectly, just need some 1/8" rigid tubing for the last piece.

BTW I got the syringe at the .99 City in Imperial Avenue a couple block west of the 805 FWY.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. The ones that come with Salifert test kits work too but they don't cary enough food in each load. BTW, to bend the other end of the rigid tubing, you can use a blow dryer to heat up the section to bend it.

I just checked this one holds 40ml
