Im thinking about using one of these for now, because I cant afford a ocean motion water diverter. Has anyone used one before? and how did it do for you? I just installed a closed loop system and want to use it on that. I dont want to add powerheads inside display.

It will work, but it will cut down your flow quite a bit. I would try to get the large one that can be taken apart. Then I would get rid of it as soon as you can afford it.

Yeah, I've heard flow restrictions between 25-50% on those.
Not real reliable either, and some complain about noise from them.
On RC there were some mods posted that may help work better.

I just 'upgraded' from two Mag5 pumps each with a scwd to a single Mag5 and an OM Squirt. I've got more flow and LOTS less headache. :)

If there's any way you can hold out for an OM, I'd recommend doing it.
