I have a 55G that was used to house a snake. I was going to use it for a water tank, but I noticed a hairline crack that leaks by the drop. I was wondering if this could be fixed or sealed. That way I could sell it here and someone could use it for a sump or something.

Any help please.

Where is the crack? Got a pic you can post?

Looks like it got hit with something. I don't see any penetration of the crack into a seam, luckily. It's possible that a drop or 2 of Weld-On #3 or #4 will seep in by capillary action and seal it up. Otherwise, Weld-On 16 or 40 will do the trick, but there will be a blob of glue then. Worth a shot to try...

Jeff, I've got some weld-on 16 I could bring with me when I cruise down there tomorrow. If you're interested.

That'd be great.

Thanks,
