kay so recently...like 3 weeks ago i perchased a yellow tang, cleaner wrasse, and a piece of live rock from my LFS. now...the yellow tang, and my clown loach have died and my cleaner wrasse is not looking so good. :(

they get spots of ich like right befor they die so i am thinking there is something in the water =/

i have taken out the rock and done water changes.

any advice as to what it could be or what i should do???

thanks, Doug v.

Please fill this out-

Tank size-
Age of tank-
Lighting-
Salinity-
Water temperature-
Nitrites-
Nitrates-
Calcium (If applicable)-
Magnesium-
Alk or pH-
Inhabitants (fish)-

Also, how much LR do you have in the tank? You should definitely put that rock back in, especially if it's your only piece which is what it sounds like. You should have 1-2 pounds of LR for every gallon of water (loose rule of thumb).

Search the boards for "Ich" for ways to eliminate this.

Also, isn't a clown loach a freshwater animal??

yeah a little more info might help us help you.

FWI- From looking at your previous thread, a yellow tang can NOT be kept in a 29gal. Its always good to do a bit of research before you add new fish :D GL with everything.

mmoore0803--that link was really helpful! It's hard to search RC for information, since the server is usually overloaded. But the page with links to so many beginner reef questions should help everyone. I'm setting up a bookmark for that page.
