Echinophyillia Skeleton Showing

My Pink and Blue Echino has suddenly lost its vibrant colors and I noticed a small white spot on the edge of it where there is no more flesh, only its skeleton. I've never had this happen to my coral, so I don't know if it is dying. Should I cut out this piece or just see what happens?

Are you saying this could be due to high alk or too low? And if it is alk. wouldn't I notice things happening to my other coral? Unfortunately, I'm out of the reagent, so I need to buy a new test kit. But I did just do a 20% water change today using scripps.
