Anyone have an extra HOB I can borrow/buy? Mine stopped working.........

Edit: Going to try to build my own out of PVC tubing... even though I'm the worst at DIY projects!!

come over and I can help you build one,not sure how you are going to make one out of PVC,but it sounds like a bad idea.......

Also, keep the old one.....when you come over next I can most likely fix it for you

i've been using one similiar to that design but i tweeked it a tad. i've been using it for 2.5 years and it works fine. i didn't wanna drill the tank, and i didn't wanna spend 75+ on a overflow box. so i built one out of pvc for about 4 bucks each and i built 2 one for each corner.

its really simple to make, and pretty basic in design. works great, u jus need to make sure u add the 1 way valve to suck air out of it maybe once every few months so it doesn't create an air pocket n stock overflowing.

and this is a giganto scale for a huge tank someone made:

just make yours like this, and make sure to drill a hole and silicone a 1 way check valve used for air pumps that u can get from your local fish store right where the dot and arrow is.

i don't know how many gph your looking to succeed, but 1 overflow using 1 1/4" pvc is capable of about 1000gph

Other than the fact that you have a big ol thing of pvc in your tank, seems like a perfectly logical idea to me :)

You didn't take into account what I said before^,you just got all defensive.Like I said,I don't know HOW(what plans)he was going to use and most of them always fail.Yours looks ok,but Matt is new....So I try to do as simple as possible, and PVC ones are unpredictable(you even said you have to suck the air out).....soooooo

Anyway Matt, you called the other day but I don't have your #......
