NNNOOOooo....

This was the first tank I visited after discovering this site; I showed up to get a frag of Xenia; before I knew what a frag was.

I want to say that it was; and still is; one of the most incredible tanks I have ever seen

It is 1/2" glass. I will work out some prices soon. I bought it for 2k everything included. I am keeping the calcium reactor so that would be factored out.

It is not as exciting as it sounds, basically a fuge that sit over the rest of the sump and overflows back into it. Works well though, macro grows like crazy cause the area is only about 8"deep but spans a 20"x20" area.

Why, oh WHY would you part with that tank??? Don't do it, hang on.... it's just too beautiful to tear it down. :D

If that green kenya is still going strong (you gave me a frag, remember?) I'd like more of it and I will happily buy the clownfish pair.

Also didn't you have a large stand we talked about at one point?

I do still have the kenya and would be happy to frag another piece. I am breaking it down right nowto persue out interests. I still have a 240 in the garage that will someday come to life. The clowns will have a home in a 30 gallon I am setting up for them (couldnt completely leave the hobby).

LVREEFER you mailbox is full so here is a answer to your pm:

This is a SE setup. The bulbs are 2x 6500k Iwasaki and 1 20k Radium. I would recommend replacement of the bulbs as they are over 2 years old.

I went by the house today to check out jason's tank. If you haven't gone, you should go! It is definitely worth the trip. He has alot of both hard and soft corals for sale. He also has hundreds of pounds of live rock. What do you have better to do on a rainy weekend anway? He is very reasonable in his prices , and I bought a bunch of stuff, and will probably go back again ! I got some orange dotted shrooms, yuma ricordia, and a massive cap coral today. I will give you a free frag from the cap if you go check him out. ( No I am not his agent).

Hi Jason - thanks for the corals.

All made it safely and are now post acclimating [i.e., I put them all immediately in my tank ... :-) ].
The hammer is open, the rics are recuperating, as well as the frogspawn/zoos, and the scraped-off zoos.

Now that I raided J's tank, I highly recommend anyone looking for nice pieces to pay Jason a visit. On top of all, he's one of the nicest reefers I've met.

But i came to check out jason's tank today and it is a very nice setup. If i didnt had the 500, then I would definitely pick up his setup.
Can't wait for his fishes.

Sadly David, Milton went to that big fish tank in the sky after getting too close to one of the seios while I was away at work :(

Sorry to hear that but my situation is worse, I killed my whole tank last night. I had turned off the main pump to collect clownfish larvae, went to bed and forgot to turn it back on. Moorish Idol, powder blue, even my mandarin of nearly five years all dead this morning. The clowns were original fish too, looks like the male made it but I don't see the female. Even that huge lawnmower, all gone. My own fault, the idol and pbt I'd had 18 months.

I don't know what I'm gonna do, that tank has been in my way (breeding project needs the space). I was only maintaing it for the idol. The corals and inverts are all fine, so when you guys get done descimating Jasen's tank maybe I'll let you have a whack at this one. Not thinking straight right now, will let you know what I decide.

I'm looking to buy some tonga how much a lb.?

jetor
03-10-2005, 08:27 PM
Live rock will go for $2.50 a lb but we will need to work things out on the rock that has corals attached.

farrington300
03-10-2005, 11:54 PM
I would be interested in about 40-50 lbs of the more plain live rock (no corals needed at this time) the 2.50 lb sounds like a good price. please call me on my cell 949 584 7451 i would be willing to come by this weekend to pick it up. Thank you. Mike
