How close can vhos be to MH bulb

So I have a weird canopy set up on my 54 corner with a spider reflector w/250w SE mh, I built some crap and didnt fit, so it looks like My VHO bulbs are going to probably 4 inches down and 2 inches forward from my actual MH bulb. Is this going heat my VHO bulbs up and make them explode or anything?

Good question School, I often wonder if my 400's are effecting the life of my VHO's when there only an 1" away or so and it's putting a zillion degrees of heat on them.

I have the same setup with pc's and they are fine. (50 gallon pentagon corner tank with 250 MH and 2 55W PC's.)

ahh ive been to lazy to finish this. Could I put my ballast in the canopy, VHO aro 220, not in direct light. I know I shouldnt and think it cuts down on life with lots of heat. But uhh add wiring.

ok I did everything correctly and stopped being lazy, actinics + MH rock socks!
