i'm kinda baffled about raising my skimmer in my sump. right now i got it sitting on a piece of tupperware but i know i've seen pictures of ppl making something out of pvc piping.

any ideas on how to elevate my skimmer or something i can put it on? if you have links or already know something i can make. i kinda wanted to use something in the house and avoid going to home depot right now.

Figure out the dimensions of what you need and then go to the Container Store and buy an acrylic box that will work for you. I would try to find one with holes in it or just drill some yourself. You could also make one out of acrylic scraps from Ridout Plastics.

haha..lol, i'd have to buy more eggcrate. i'll just find another tupperware, or get some when i go to wallmart. i seen a tin tray in the garage that would be perfect, but i don't think it would be a good idea to put metal in my sump..saltwater...

Use pvc to build a structure to the height you'd like, then zip-tie eggcrate (1) piece to the top for the platform.
