Awile back I got a very healthy but plain looking Watchman Goby. about 3" long, greyish with bright blue spots. Looks identicle to A yellow watchman. At first I was skeptic about getting him, but after watching him eat well I figured he was worth the $7. I took him home, and kept him in QT. Breathed heavy for 2 hr or so but setled right in. Then he went into my 30. He seems happy, but I have't been able to ID this guy.
So, now I'm sure he's a yellow watchman. Which makes me wonder...
"how did he lose his color?"
stress I guess, but from what?
> Diet... Eats well. everything from frozen form1 &2 to Reef flakes, pelets 1 &2, and krill Never all in one day)

> Lighting. I have good light but he always stays in this big cave. Is the lack of light whats doing this?

> Disease... very doubtfull. no other signs.

> Need symbiotic friend. IE: pistol shrimp?

> is age a factor? maybe he's old?

Well enjoy your holiday. Gotta run; thanks for reading and comment too!

This fish is in my 50 gal now, with a Pistol Shrimp. He's still very plain / greyish looking.
Anyone else ever have experiences with Yellow Watchmen losing color?
