I listened to the Reef Nutrition guy at Daves house. He was telling us about how this person fed heavily for a while and his corals went crazy. I decided to try. I have been feeding Arctipods,Phyto Feast and Roti Feast on a daily basis. I dont see a big visible feeding reaction, but my corals are growing quite a bit in the last two weeks. My blue ric has split, my hairy mushroom has split, my scripps acro has lots of pretty green polyps all over it now. My Poci has several new branches as does my purple tree. I still have twomore weeks to go, but these are noticeable changes.

Nice observation. Maybe I'll give it a go someday.

Questions:

...two more weeks to go, then what? Back to "normal" feeding schedule or...?

No excessive algae growth noticed, either?

I was waiting to see if I really could get some good growth and I seem to be, so I will probably continue the heavy feeding schedule for another month, then cut back. Its quite expensive to feed this way, 130.00 for one month. My algae growth has actually decreased since feeding only this. I used to feed pretty heavy with flakes and frozen.

Things are still growing well, but havent noticed anymore splitting. The Scripps is growing like crazy and so is the Monti. My shrooms split again, but Rics havent split anymore. I am going to keep it up for another month. Had a couple of floods, which messed up the water chem for a couple of days, this could hae slowed things down.

Update. Stuff is great, fish and corals love it, it is cost prohibitive, however. I can afford to buy this stuff regularly but it runs over 100 dollars a month to feed heavily. It would run about that amount every other month to feed normally. You have to be careful to not miss a water change or you do get an increase in the algae.

I was interested in the actual application of this after the meeting. It's good to see it actually works!!
