The Carlsbad Aquafarm is looking for an immediate part-time aquaculture technician to assist with daily maintenance of the seahorse program.
- Typical daily duties include siphoning tanks, feeding seahorses, handling seahorse fry, performing water quality tests, scrubbing tanks, and other duties as needed and assigned by supervisor. Opportunities for assisting with other farm projects are possible.
- This is a 2 day (10-16 hours) a week position with occasional holiday and weekend day(s) possible. Starting pay is $10 per hour. Days will most likely be Monday and Tuesday, or Thursday and Friday.
- Some aquarium experience is preferred, but not required. Experience working with pumps, filters, tools, and computers a plus.
