This bulb in brand new. I've fired it twice. I can't take it back (no returns on bulbs), but there's nothing wrong with it. I just think it's overkill for my tank. I may end up with a 20K to lessen the intensity of the light. I'm asking what I payed for it. it normally goes for $100 without tax and shipping, but I got it on sale, and with tax, it was 95. (retail 107 +shipping)
So $95 bucks and it's yours..
