"FILTER SOCKS/ Micron Bags are the most convenient form of mechanical filtration. They remove excess food, detritus, organic waste, dust, and other particulates. Removing these particulates from the water column will reduce the amount of organic matter that produces ammonia and other undesirable substances in the aquarium. Filter socks also help prevent larger objects, such as sand, crabs, snails, etc. from damaging pump motors. Regular filter sock use will lower organic levels and result in CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER!"

Background Product Information:
- My mom is a retired seamstress so she's making a lot of these filter socks. we still have the professional, bulky machines in the garage. Any profit goes to her for her labor.
- I rotated them for a few weeks on my own tank to test and they work great. Tested several types of fabric and narrowed down to the best one available.
- Reef-safe!
- Inside layer has harder texture for easier cleaning.
- Double-seamed all around for strength and security.
- To clean, just throw them into the washer or pressure-wash them with garden hose and you're good to go.
- I use them for my reef, pond, and freshwater tank.
- Durable enough to be reusable, yet affordable enough to be disposable.

the other benefit of a filter sock..and essentially the real need for it, is, if you don't have one on, then all the detrituse will settle in your sump (it looks like little chunks of poo)
