this thing is awesome, just got one and it is a great way to boost flow with old maxi jets. the flow feels amazing, more like a tunze. better than a koralia. i reccomend trying these out.

Yup, they are. Been running 2 for the last 3 months. Way better than the ECO Mods.

I bought the mods for my 1200's and sent them back a few days later. I run a redsea wavemaster pro and the noise of the powerheads / bulk of them with the mod was too much. Also if you have moded them to 1600 much less the 2100 prop that is included the suction cups / swivel do little to control their positioning and you would probably need to silicone them in place after a time. The mod itself was over $25 plus the pump plus shipping, why not just buy a few of the tunze nano streams or seio's for a few bucks more?..... just my two cents

seio's aren't as good and are more money i have to check but i am pretty sure all tunzes are more money also. you can pick up any mj for $10 or less on this forum and the mod is about $14 from custom aquatics whe you order online. then you could pick or have it shipped, they are local for me.

I just install the 2100gph impeller(the white one) last night in my tank and it run awesome I have to tilt it upward little bit for better current motion in my tank,forgot to mention I ran 2 modded Tunze 6025,1 Tunze 6025 unmodded,1 1600 sure flow maxijet 1200 and add the 2100 sure flow last night in 144 gallon Oceanic half circle tank.Since the power head move too much water I have to mount it in to a Rio bottom plate with 6 suction cup use for those model 1400 to 2500 to make sure it is stand still good.
I love those sure flow modded kit,it did not make the maxijet really bulky looking much and moving alot of water,specially with the new 2100 kit.For around $50 with a super power 2100 gph power head is a very good deal.

Is the mod reversable? If you don't like what it does, can you put the MJ back to its original state?

definately, it is basicly just swapping impellers very easy and quick

Yeah ... thats the sucky part... they sell a sure grip magnet for it but thats like 24 bucks...too pricey for a magnet, to me anyway... i think that i am going to fix it to a magnet cleaner or something
