Red Sea coral pro

Currently using Tropic Marin. Thinking of going to Tropic Marin Pro, but hear this Red Sea Coral pro is just as good. Anybody use this?

I have used this salt forever and LOVE IT. It has a high calcium level which is nice for me since I don't have a calcium reactor.

Vets Pets has it for cheap. Something like $20 a bucket if I remember correctly.

we used tropic marin pro for a while and we swiched to red sea coral pro about 5 months ago and I am geting the same resalts as I did with TMP and it is half the price.

Peter thats the salt I am using now and my Calcium levels are lower than with the Tropic Marin. Have been using it for a month. But you have reactor so it shouldnt matter

All sort of depends on your Ca needs, no way your gonna keep SPS and LPS growing with a good Ca reading, with just salt

420-440 and I added B Ionic everyother day if that. Now with daily additions its 380-400. I will increase the dosage. MG has stayed the same

We have been using it on our show tank and the farm for over a year now, and have had sufficient results. Running Tropic Marin Pro Reef, at $90 a bucket, was killing us. We switched to Red Sea Coral Pro, for $35 a bucket, and really saw no negative results. Keep in mind, we dose the full Warner Marine lineup weekly and run a big calcium reactor, so we are not too dependent on the salt for those ingredients. But the salt itself is probably the best "bang for the buck" salt out there.

I think I will stay with it because it is the best "bang for the buck". I already dose B Ionic anyway. Finally got the Calc up, now just have to maintain it.

I switched from Tropic Marin to the Red Sea Coral Pro and what I've noticed a) takes a little longer to disolve in H2O b) the calcium level is a bit lower. So far it appears to be a well balanced salt and a good bang for the buck.

If you don't use a calcium reactor, why are you using the TM pro and not the regular TM? The TM rep said the only reason to use the TM pro is lower alkalinity so that alkalinity does not go too high when used with a calcium reactor. Is there other benefits to the pro I didn't catch?

My alk tends to run around 10. Even with the tropic marin. Especially since I dose B Ionic. I like the tropic marin, but wanted to try the pro to see if there is a diff.
