Well I have decided to go with a bigger tank somewhere
between 120 and 150 and I'm starting to piece everything
together. I'm not really familiar with calcium reactors so I
figured I'd ask the experts here. I read up on a few of the
popular ones ( GEO , REEFTEK, PRECISION MARINE, KORRALIN)
on reefcentral. Do any of you guys or gals have any experince
with any of these models? Any recomendations? I plan on
having a SPS and clam tank. Thanks in advance for any advice.

hey Alex,
I called you and left a message. Did you not get it?
Anyway I'm cool on the live rock I decide not to put any
in the sump. Thanks for the reply.

looks like you got an eye for sps now huh. lol
well get ready to open your wallet wider and more often now. But trust me, it will be worth it. As far as calcium reactor, ive got a korralin 1501 and still in the process of tweaking it. theres a few good articles flyin around on reefcentral and that will tell you alot about CR.
What type of lights are you planin to run?
and what other equipment for the big tank.
pretty exciting

LV,
Yeah I need a bigger tank. The SPS in my 18 gallon are doing
well so far. I'm looking into getting a 48x30x24 starphire glass
tank, about 150 gallons. As far as lighting 2 250W metal halides,
and T5 actinics. Euro-Reef skimmer. Just like my, 18 well kinda
only 1 150W metal halide 20000K bulb on it.
Thanks for the info I read many of the articles allready, just
can't decide on what to get. People on there seem to like
the GEO and REEFTEK.

hey jason, just wonder how many bubbles per minute do you have ur reactor on and also the flowrate of the effluent? Im have it set as 24 bpm and the flow rate is almost a stream but not quite there yet. And the ph of the effluent is 6.4.

Chap,
I thought you didn't need a PH controller with the Korallin?
How are you using that controller with the Korallin?
Sorry about all the questions, I just want to spend my money
wisely. I think I will end up buying the Korallin since both you
and LV are using one locally.

Chap,

So do you monitor the pH of the effluent or the tank water?
