This is the New Lumen Max Elite that from Sunlight Supply. I will be conducting a Beta Test. To compare it to other reflector on the market. The reflector is 15L x 15W x 5H. Heres the first pictures.

So far it has smashed the Lumen Bright. I going to test it vs the lumenarc tonight.

Some benefits I have noticed so far:
1) Only 5 inches hight. Helps fit into smaller canopies.
2) mounting plate to allow you to clean your reflector easier
3) Very even light distribution
4) mogul wire comes out the bottom. makes for easier mounting.

Also the white parts will be black on final product.

Nice little product, thanks for the review Eric. Looks to be a smaller, better built version of the old school Lumen Max (which is still my favorite reflector). Love the white frame on top, excellent design.

Saw it in person @ Eric's. With the naked eye you could see more light spread and light concentration over the lumenarc. I've seen some test results and it supposed to be almost 3x better that the lumenarc.

"Both light reading were taken right in the middle of the reflector with a yard stic stuck right next to the bulb using a brand new Milwaukee sm700.
3 readings were taken for better accuracy
multiply all by 100Lux

Everything is looking good so far. Solro is coming tomorrow to do par testing. But everyone that has seen it can tell a big difference.

They might been releasing it the 1st of April.

I have some ice cap type reflectors problem is they take up too much room in my canopy I would like to add some more supplemental lighting like VHO's or T-5's what are the measurements? Thanks in advance!

Solro and I did PAR testing.

We did it is 5 spots. The Lumen Max Elite on average was 200 more Lumens. Over a 40% increase in light.

I could not believe the numbers.

I also have bulbs.

I will be ordering a few 20000K helios bulbs. They will be 45 each. Very close to the Radiums. At have the cost. FragFarmer runs them on his tanks.

Would the measurements from a Lumenarc mini be the same as a regular Lumenarc? Since this new one is the same size as the Lumenarc mini is it 200 lumens brighter on a mini as well?

thanks again bro... do you recommend going 400w HQI DE on a 30"H 90gal? or will it burn my sps? I got a 250w phenoix 14K right now and I don't feel it's enough.....then again I only have a PFO pendant on a ICE CAP ballast....???

I would go with elites with phoenix 250 on a HQI ballast. I have dual HQI 250 ballast that will plug right into the elites. I can get you a package deal.

I have the ICE CAP HQI ballast already, I can only fit ONE elite in my canopy to cover 30"x30" surface area. I will have to use FOUR 24" T5 along the edges for supplements.

I am going to need new T5 actinic bulbs....

I saw picture comparisons of the light spread. The SE version seems to have much better coverage than the DE version. Keep us posted Eric.

did you ever post pics? i need to get the lumenmaxII or the elite. i have a 180 and want to do 3 of something but dont want to have too much spread since i have 3 braces. i like the new material but my local shop only has the old style for the lmII. is it much better or just better for hot spots? thanks
