are killing me! I have need to get water from Scripps for over a week. i really don't want to throw a ton of motor oil and human poo in my nano. Has anyone gotten water in the last week? I might try to get some today since the rain last night wasn't too bad.

i would wait til the weekend just to be safe. Since you dont need that much water, try petkingdom. I got 7 gallons yesterday. They charge a gallon for 70 cent, alot compared to free, but if your desperate, A gallon or 2 should last you til this weekend.

Buaha, I have 5 gallons of the good stuff that I've been storing. LVreefer was eyeballing it the other day, but I kept a close eye on him and he didn't steal it.

I agree though, storms need to stop so I can fill the 40g.

I went and checked out the water (I work near Scripps) and it looks okay, compared to how it usually does after a rain. I took 5 gallons of water, but I doubt I will use it. I have some polyfilter and purifgen I might put in some of it and see if they turn color.

It smelled fine too, heh.

LVreefer: I'll get you back for that, you *******.

I was just checking the weather, and it's clear skies ahead for the next or so.

I used the water from the other day, no problems. All corals and fish and hermits and shrimp are fine.

I was talking with MParkis the other day. He said he spoke with someone down there... The guy he talked to said something about no problems with bacteria, etc.

Anyone know anyone at the Aquarium we can get the lowdown from?

I'm getting new water tonight.

yah the bacteria are a little easier to tell, due to closures, media etc. For most storms I am a little more worried about chemical runoff from soil and storm drains. However, the pier is right at that canyon upwelling so maybe it cleans out pretty quick.

My stuff survived, heh.

Maybe my goby will get lead poisoning and start running in to the walls!
