Very nice Aquascape. Looks very natural.

Mine looks like a clear bucket with rocks.

yeah, i totally regret giving away that tonga branch center piece. i looked for about a year to find that perfect piece, and it ended up costing me like $45-50.
> here's the same tank about 2 years later...when i lived in PB (after i started @OG)

the funny thing is that w/ both of those tanks, i dont remember doing anything but water changes once a month. no PS, no additives, very little feeding...+ w/ 2x 55w PC's (but then again, very little, if any sps in the tank)

How many lbs. of LR did you have in your first tank? That tonga branch looked really nice in your tank.

Atleast thats what happens to me.

the fuge went down, i found a bunch of margaritas on their backs (died) behind the rocks, + the system pump started to eat the foam insert...causing the lack of flow in the tank. And once the acro's went- so went everything else.

That sucks.
I dont know what I would do if everything in my tank died. More then likely give up on the whole hobby but knowing me I would some how find my way back. I am glad to see you never gave up.

Which tells me either (1) lack of flow killed the acro's, which caused everything else to die, and (2) the fuge went down.......... Because of the sponge? All parameters were good? ph, alk, calc etc......... prior to the sponge getting ate up.

>>jackpot! the sponge was slowly being eaten so you were unable to tell the flow in the tank was decreasing, until it was pretty bad...but by then-the acro's were pissed off.

so, i've been staying away from acro's since then. besides i'm a monti junkie anyway...

I am sorry to hear that, where exactly was the sponge? I love Monti's too. I bought 2 pieces the size of a quarter from OG about 16 months ago and now look at them..........
