This system has been running on my tank for about 3 months now. It has a bulb that Kim92111 gave me a while back, which is 20k, and needs to be replaced in about 3 or 4 months. I got this system at Jeff's exotic fish up in LA for almost $300 including tax. I will sell it for $250 OBO since its almost new. The intensity of these are just as bright as the SE 400w, but uses way less electricity. PM me if you are interested. Thanks.

comes with:

1. DE Hamilton Pendent
2. 20k 250w bulb
3. All cords and plugs
4. Hamilton Ballast

Hey plugpitch,

I was comparing these to 400w metal halides.

Anyways, it's gone, thanks :)

Greater intensity on the DE. Take a look at some of the research from Sanjay and others.

If you run a magnetic ballast it will overdrive the bulb and use more electricity.
