Well, it seems for me at least pretty much every year there's someone who feels the need to "surprise" me w/ that special gift for me and my tank.(Not that I don't appreciate the thought).
Let's see, one GF got me a maroon AND a flame angel, which she thought was cool to put in my tank for me while at work (that was bad day!)
One friend gave me gave those dolphin halves, w/ the magnets so half could be in and one half out of tank, mmm hmm.
One year a cowfish that ate 3 crocea clams in one day, AND the rest of my tank later.
Last year a cute little mandarin buddy for my other mandarin(both male) :(
So, to avoid kind acts gone wrong this year I decided to throw a list up where everyone can see it, and thought others could join in as well.
So, list your idea of a cool generic gift most reefers could enjoy, and that ONE REALLY COOL thing if you think you've been REALLY good!
And any stories of gifts gone wrong you may have as well.
My cool generic idea, any really good book on corals listing light/food needs.
My big wish, a Euroreef skimmer or a Jasper calcium reactor.
What's yours?

I hope my family and friends all have the best holidays possible, but for myself I'd really like my custom canopy for actinics to magically appear. That or a nice macro lens for my camera

My two front teeth.

Er... well, I'm breaking down my tank so I can't really wish for anything for it, but otherwise: the successful start of my business, the healthy and growing relationship between myself and my fiance, Amanda, everyone to buy all my corals for sale... and that I get the new job I applied for.

And world peace. :D

Hopefully a new job...keep your fingers crossed. That will help me stock my tank for 08'.

Since we are also chatting about cigars on another thread....I want a Vector table lighter, those things are sweet

Peter, I received my Vortechs yesterday after you stopped by. I thought I was getting it on wednesday but I didn't check the tracking on it. But the battery backup that I ordered is heavy as hell. I didn't know that the battery was from Ice-Cap, but I think Ecotech Marine is owned by them.

Yep...try holding it with one hand and screwing it in to wood with the other. Of course I'm "handy" challenged but it wasn't easy, especially at the angle I was at.
