I would like to have this started up again, however I beleive we need someone to take pictures for it. I can handle the coding of the actual page, but if someone could step forward and take pictures of potential/winners tanks, that would be great. Any feedback or suggestions appreciated.

i think the enteries can take pictures when they are potential but you should have more then 1 person taking pictures... maybe one in LA one in SD and one inbetween

Of course everyone can take pictures, but having one person with a DSLR and the rest with normal digital cameras puts an unfair advantage IMO. This is SDReefs, we don't need anyone in LA :).

make it tank of the quarter, this way it is easier on all of us and frankly i don't think that we have totm worthy tanks out there for more than 2-3 years.

Technoviking

Very true, so we'll just have one every three months. But we still need a photographer...

I believe tank of the quarter is a good way to go. I also agree that this should stay in SD county.

comon Guys keep it serious.

I know it is fun to rag on yolo but i think he doesn't even have a dslr camera. Unless you guys get him one for x-mass.

I think we should meanwhile look for someone who will actually do it and has the equipment to do it.

Ok guys, I have found a cameraman (actually, the old cameraman stepped back in to take the pictures). So I am going to make a TOTM Forum category so we can get this rolling. We'll start nominating now and start voting in early december, so we can have the TOTQ posted on January 1st.

Sound good?

I'd be happy to help out with macro shots using my underwater housing/camera, if Dave wants the help. LMK. Perhaps with the holidays, Jan 1st is a bit ambitious...how about first week or so in January?

Again, this is a project that will obviously require the help and work of several people, so hopefully we can all just roll with the punches as things come online, without the downer comments....

Thank you Peter.

Another thing I just thought of, maybe twice a year or so we can feature a tank that's not a reef; freshwater, fish only, etc. Just an idea...

I would love to see more FO tanks...really what got me into the hobby...

SDguy

What about Temecula?..........Any recommendations of a good forum up here?...................

Oh thats right, nothing, nothing even close. Inland Empire should take a look at this site and learn something. I would think most in Southern CA are on SD reefs.

I see no reason to exclude North, or even Extreme North county in this. Temecula, Fallbrook, Vista, O'Side, etc. All should be included and I am willing to drive to shoot the tanks.
