Anyone know any?
I'm planning to convert a 24g aquapod hood into an inclosed watercooled LED system, but the selection of small pumps seems rather limited. The hydor L10 looks promising, but I cannot find any for sale.
max width needs to be 2" or less.

Would an aqualifter work?

Look for tiny fountain pumps or pumps used for doing the same thing but on computers.

I use a MJ1200 for water changes. Seems to pump a good amount.

Would an aqualifter work?
Think that flow rate might be too low, and is it rated for contstant opperation?

Check out the aquaclear line. I've used the aquaclear 802 for a return for over 10 years at various times and I think they work great. They make much smaller ones. Check it out. they are fairly cheap too

I need a small external pump, not a powerhead, which is only submersible :(
Anyone know where I could buy a hydor L10, either online or localy? Can't find it anywhere.

MJ can be used in-line......................that is what they use on shuran calcium reactors

Yup, like Brad and Jordan said, MJ would work for you application. I've done close loops and DIY recirculating skimmers with MJs - they're fine external pumps. MJs are the little pumps that could.

There doesn't seem to be any kind of seal on the little cowl around the prop though, it would leak I'd think

That's why you gotta get creative! :) You can find an example here: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48267 . That's probably a lot more complicated than what you're trying to accomplish but you get the idea.
One thing I've noticed while working with MJ's externally is that they tend to get a little warm. I usually have a small fan blowing on it to keep it cool but that's just me being extra careful. Cheers!

I've used those Swiftechs on a couple of water-cooled systems and honestly wasn't too impressed with them. I was surprised to see a couple of them leak after a few months considering their intended usage in electrical environments. Since space usually isn't an issue in those systems, I just ended up using Eheims. They're flawless!

he needs something small though so I thought this could help, they are kinda expensive if they suck ass though...

All those specialty overclocking pumps are overpriced as all hell.
Was hoping someone might know a source for a hydor L10, otherwise looks like I'll have to go with an L20.
I'd go with the eheim, but it ended up being just a bit too big.
