Howdy...need about 3 guys in addition to myself on Saturday to help unload my new tank. I'll be picking it up in the LA area probably around 1pm so I'll probably get home around 3:30-4pm. Obviously I'll supply the beers and pizza. Let me if you can help a brother out...then I'll be picking everyone's brain at possible plumbing ideas. :D

How big of a tank did you get?

Thanks Kamil...I should be able to make the meeting Friday night.

It's a 240 glass this time....8x2x2. Last was acrylic 8x18"x30" so technically this tank is bigger as the last with acrylic was 224 according to the RC calculator. This one should be much easier to maintain at 2' tall. I'm getting excited....picked up a Sequence Hammerhead and one Vortech so far for flow...will end up getting one more Vortech. :D

Very important!

Make sure you get several suction cup handles for the tank so that your movers have a strong grip on that heavy tank. You can get the suction cup handles cheap at area tool specialty stores.

Call OGs tommorrow. they used to have them and they know of a place near them that carries them. They are worth every penny when it comes to moving big tanks, especially glass tanks. I will try and make it for the move as well.

not sure the cost for glass handles versus cargo straps?
But when the delivery people dropped of my TV they had two guy's and they had a fat cargo strap probably about 3 to 4 inches wide and placed it under the TV and looped it around there body so all they had to do was lift with there legs and walk with it. You have a truck so you might need them down the road maybe?
Just a thought...
