1 million yen...is that like $100? :D

The one with the tree + sand river is awesome, the others kinda all look the same.

Highly doubt mine will be up there! Bigger is not always better. I still have lots to learn.

1 million yen is less than 10,000 dollars. Probably like 8,000.

The rocks most commonly used are Seiryu rocks but there are also other rocks from the ADA company that Amano uses.

I remember seeing 9 on aquaticplantcentral.com I dropped my jaw when I saw it take 9th place!

Hey i got a bunch of Pagoda rocks at AW like the ones I used in my 30 cube at the shop. They give an illusion of grandeur due to their ancient lines and layering. Check 'em out.

This is pure artistic talent at work. I tried FWP tanks in the past, and I like them, but, whereas there's look like works of lush fantasy, mine always end up looking like vintage So. Ohio trailer park. :( (Yes, I grew up in So. Ohio)

Just envision a betta in bib overalls hangin' out on a little sunken treasure ship bubbler, pickin' a banjo, and you've got a good visual of my past tanks.

FWP is where it's at!

Everyone can have a successful reef at one point or another, but to truly grasp the skill of aquascaping and keeping a healthy FW planted tank is something else. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread sparks some interest for some SDReefers to take a dive back to the FW realm. :)

Danny's tank has really inspired me to research a planted tank. I guess I kind of have always had one (annubias) for my shellies.

Can't wait to get my saltwater planted tank up.

Sam, can you guys get some nice saltwater macros/plants at AW? :)

We always try to get a variety but until we get the new reef setup finished....oops! Did I let that preview slip???...we usually get some good macros...I will ask matt to pick up some nice ones if he sees em...we have a few "leafed" Mangroves right now that you should pick up!
