Just got back from Bali- and lookie what I saw there:

These aren't your usual Mantis- reference the chairs in the background. They are approximately 1.5 feet of spearing buggers....

Can't resist! A pair split in half and sauteed with garlic! They had eggs too! (red stuff)

Very tasty! Very little meat though! However, what little there was was extremely sweet and rich- almost like a combo of east and west coast lobsters combined. The meat was very tender!

Just had to share! :D

No salt/spices, anything- just butter, garlic, and some green onion- saw them cook it.

Its the meat flavor that's different, not the additions- I wish we could get these buggers here in that size. They were tasty. Although these were huge, you get very little meat; remember, these were about 1.5 feet in length prior to cooking.

Would take a while to raise a mantis from standard reefing sizes lol!

you can get them at the 91 ranch markets during some months of the year but they are live then, :( i would seriously hurt someone that messed with Kermit but then again he is only about 3 inches:)
