Today through this weekend at some point SD is suppose to see its worst storms in like two decades or so. At least that is what the weather guessers are saying. Make sure you get your windows closed if you are going to be gone for the day.

Storm people here do not know what a real storm, Typhoon or huricane peel like and just be glad that it do not happen

yeah seriously, I sat through Hurrican Ivan - that was a nice one. I laughed when I moved here at the prediction of a 1/4 inch of rain causing flash floods. God for bid you have to drive in the rain out here - might as well be bumper cars.

I am crewing on a new boat this weekend (sailing). We have three offshore (off Coronado shores) races on Saturday and two on Sunday. Big storms, big winds. I'm busting out all my foul weather gear and getting ready to get wet.

I will notify the coast guard Mike. Wear one of those GPS thingies so we can find you. Be careful!

Is the stom going to affect the Red Bull air races?

Up to a 1/4 inch at the coasts...wowie...might get the windshields wet. Those boats are over 10 tons with huge keels that weigh like 4 tons...best sailing I've ever done was in 25 knot winds with pouring horizontal rain in that last huge February storm a few years ago...

Red Bull time trials are Friday...prob gonna be hit n miss weather, always seems to be perfectly clear offshore and pouring inshore.

Somehow wish they would cancel so I could work on my new setups :D

Wind downtown right now is GUSTING serious...hope its like this tommorrow! At this time of year, I wear all the foulies anyway, the crashing bow send water your way every few swells...kinda like a guy throwing a pitcher of cold water in your face every few minutes or so..

Sounds like fun!

I used to live in NC and was born in Hawaii, seen enough hurricanes
I still can't understand the panic here

its funny how such a little storm, in comparisson, that is being predicted is considered like a 20 year storm for san diego. Everyone everywhere else gets much worse on a weekly basis.

Sometimes I wanna shut off all the lights, board up the windows, and eat cold spaghetti-o's just to remind myself of fall in Virginia. :D

Well, it doesn't take much to be the worst September storm here in SD in 20 years since Sept. is classically warm and dry still.

PS - Still nothing here...but my friend in LA said it's pouring rain :)

It's turning into a non event here in Clairemont. Nearly has the sidewalk in my entry wet...almost.

I would not even atach the word storm to this little drizzle. Maybe it will get worse today.
