The I-Phone has been unlocked

I just saw a person that is using an I-Phone with T-Mobile service.

It is a cool piece of gadget.

the first kid that unlocked it was 17, got a 350z and a job teaching some employees at some company how to unlock phones.

I have an sk3 right now...if I get an iphone and unlock it for tmobile will I still be able to access the internet?
