So, When I left my house this morning I noticed that the return side of my sump was getting pretty low water wise. I topped it off by adding about a gallon of water. Well when I came home about 6 hours later the water was back at the same point from when before I had added the gallon. I'm in awe to where this water is going! Theres no water in my stand and or on the floor. Is it really possible for a gallon of water to evaporate in 6 hours?! It baffles me... Any ideas? Anyone?

Are you running a U tube HOB overflow? If so, look at the water level in the tank, and see if there is a big bubble trapped in the U tube.

Theres a small bubble at the top of the U tube... whats that mean? Is that the problem?

Na, not a problem as long as there is good flow still. I have the same issue when the bubble is big and at the end of the U where it straightens out towards the outer box.
Evap of 1 gallon a day is not really that uncommon, especially when the humidity is lower than we have had.

if you want to get rid off the bubble for good. Drill the U tube, glue an airfitting in, connect air hose from the u tube to the ventury of a powerhead.
