Just want to get a survery of what people add to their reef tanks on a daily basis and at what times. (e.g. b-ionic, iodine etc.)

limewater with baking soda dripping 24/7. i crank up the drip at night and then slow it way down in the day. CA/ALK right on, ph swing minimal..

how do you fluctuate drip rate? is this something you do manually twice a day?

b-ionic; 5ml each(#1 and #2) to 5 gallons of scripps water.

Iodine, every other day. Few drops, 16g tank. And thats it.

No just once, when I open a new bucket ot water. Here is my analysis and justification for addition:

Scripps Water Alkalinity 3.0 meq/L (3.2 – 4.5 Required) (My test 3.6)
(seachem) ~8.4 dKH
(Salifert) 2.6 meq/L

Component #1 - Carbonate Alkalinity: 2800 meq/liter (7840 dKH). 1 ml per gallon of aquarium water will raise alkalinity by 0.74 meq/liter (2.07 dKH).

To raise it to 3.75 : Use 5ml per bucket of Scripps water

_________0______________

Scripps Water Calcium 350 ppM (400 – 450 ppm Required)
(Salifert)

Component #2 - Calcium Concentration: 54,000 ppm calcium ion. 1 ml per gallon of aquarium water will raise calcium concentration by 16ppm ).

To raise it to 400: (3ml/gallon (48ppm) * 5) = 15ml per bucket of Scripps water

yeah i use a C clamp and a small block of wood as my control. basically the dripline is clamped to the tanks stand 2x4. there is a small block of wood between the clamp and line to ensure a good hold and then it is just a quick turn of the clamp to adjust flow. i have left it going full blast about 2 drips a sec. 24/7 with no problems other than it is slightly fater than my evap. so when i can remember i give it a quick a quarter turn to slow the drip to just a little faster than a drip every other second.
