Closest Snow to So Cal in Dec

So my Son is coming up for the holidays and I might want to go stay somewhere for a few days where there is guaranteed snow. Anyone have any recommendations as I need to book now.

Was hoping you guys might know of someplace more specific, Hotel, Lodge, etc where I can call and make reservations...

Wrightwood or Big Bear are your best bets, but it is anyone's guess if they will have snow. It usually comes in January. Fly to Reno and drive to Tahoe!

for a short drive and asmall amount of snow, palomar mtn gets snow sometimes.
