I'm gonna be moving in a new house in a couple of months, and I'm thinking about having a 200+ gallon aquarium on the second story. The framing of the house is made out of TGI's. Is it safe to keep an aquarium of that size on the top floor?? Any info/comments would be greatly appreciated.

How big are the beams?

It will be fine if it is next to a wall. There is a huge thread on this topic on RC and Reefkeeper's.org. I would post a link, but their search engine sucks unless you are privileged.

How big are the beams?

The beams are about 40 feet long, and they run across the entire second story. I'm thinking about having an 8ft tank against a load bearing wall that's going to be sitting on at least 7 beams.
