Well, if you dont mind cutting it, the asian market on clairmont mesa blvd (near the 805) has some realy high quality sushi grade fish. Got some yesterday, and it was as high a quality as any restaraunt I've been to, not the slightest hint of a fishy smell.

Got a piece of tuna and raw salmon, cost me $12 for 3/4lb of high quality sushi grade fish! The salmon was especialy delicious.

On clairmont mesa you 're probably talking about Ranch 99 market.
That and Mitsuwa are 2 of my favs for sashimi fish.
Nijia is cool too(just no fun trying to park there)
And Zion market is good, great for Korean ribs.
Man, now I'm hungry!!

CB's are one of my favs, but they just seem so sensitive, and they can pick at polyps.
That's a pretty small sashimi serving!

Nem sashimi!
Hey, you gotta make what you can out of it.
A GF took me out tonight for shrimp, calamari, and scallops, and asked how I could eat shrimp and scallops since I had them as pets.
I say add a little garlic and butter, and no problem!LOL
