I picked this up today in LA, It's a ClearVu Acrylic tank.. Apart of me wants to set it up, a part of me wants to cut it down to 8x16"x2'.. and a Part of me realizes that I might be moving out of san diego in a month or so and Have no IDEA why I picked up an 8'x2'x2' 240 Gallon Tank!

Soooooo.. I'm giving the option of saving me from myself to you guys..

It has Two Drains, holes on either end, and 3 returns.

550 OBO.

Productive post? Are you intrestred in buying the tank? Now I have to go on, and explain on why it's not in bad shape and then talk about why it's 550 dollars for a 240 gallon TANK, instead of 2500 dollars.

Does it Leak.. NO, has the front and side panels been Re-buffed Yes. Is it the nicest looking tank you'll SEE NO, Is the Stand very sturdy well made, and support the tank YES.

It's a USED acrylic tank. It's 240 gallons, with a stand. For a WOOPING 550 bucks is all I'm asking. That is a STEAL. If you want come down and see it for you self.

..and since when do birds know anything about reef tanks.

Sounds fair to me. If the stand matched my bro's decor better he would have snatched this thing up.

another question, how hard would it be to remove those acrylic pieces that are covering the holes on the bottom? Those holes are in a good location for closed loop plumbing.

I have no clue I'm sure you could just re-drill it really easy.

if its siliconed on there, I'm sure they could be peeled off pretty effortlessly and look like new.

Wow if I only had room :D. My little one bedroom condo could not handle it. One of these days when I sell this place and buy a bigger condo or hopefully a house. I will be going after a tank at least that big. Wanna keep it for about 5 more years? Actually I think I want a 500 gallon when I Upgrade from my 90 gallon. :D

Sorry Brahm, if it were glass I'd be all over it, but acrylic? :( Will make a nice African Chichlid tank I think, go for the freshwater guys in the Trib or Craigslist, it will sell to them easy and you will get more than a sw guy will pay. JMO, - D

Face it, you're stuck with the tank unless you drop the price.
