I'm interested in buying a reef tank. I've been looking around for a while and came across this, what do you guys think?

110 Tall Diamond Edge Aquarium with Red Pine Stand and Canopy
Complete reef setup includes;
2 96 watt power compacs
2 250 watt halides
JKS Chiller
2 Overflows
Remora Pro Protein Skimmer
the guy will sell it to me for $500.00

Is this a good set up and a good deal? Thanks guys

a freakin awesome deal. Though a 110 tall is way too tall for my liking.

I wouldn't buy a tall tank for a reef set up

But for what you get you can throw that tank away and buy a bigger tank. It would still be worth it.

Welcome to the site!

Buy the tank...... and the rest.... it is too tall for a reef.... then sell the tank and stand and buy what you want. You will have a real hard time getting your mits all the way to the bottom of that baby. Saw it on CL. Even if you liquidate it for $100.00 bucks, it is a great deal. Welcome!

With that 100 bucks you could buy something like this!

I think I saw it on craigslist some one sell the set up in Pacific Beach,the stand and casnopy in red cherry color need to re-finish and the tank use old shool over flow box-not drill.
Is that the set up you gonna buy Thomas?

Youll probrably regret buying this size tank,,too tall, youll need some really goog lighting that will hit the bottom of the tank, or have to keep corals way high up, its is really hard to reach the bottom with your hand, and quality circulation would be tough, good deal though, I would personally wait,,,deals cone and go all the time for good tanks. I know someone selling a 125 acrylic drilled, pine stand and canopy, pc lighting, nice sump for 500.00.
