View Full Version : Show us the changes in your tank

I was browsing through my old pictures and was surprise to see so many of my corals change in size/color, move to a different location, disappeared, or newly acquired.

So I thought it would be fun if we post some of our time elapse pictures of our tank. It would be cool to see the changes. Since we look at our tank often, we don't see much changes from day to day.

I would love to see the growth rate of your corals.

You can always go back to your post and edit it to include new pictures as the months go by.

If I bought some of your frags, you will also see them in these pictures.

Here are the changes to my tank.

BTW that is a ridiculous FS in your third pic..where did it go

dc_909
06-26-2007, 08:02 PM
Yeah, the first pic was taken a couple months after I got the tank and I was a poor college student working at Petco.

The next couple I was still poor, but was a little more into it.

Now, I have a little more extra money and I am into it full blown

DC_909,

Great corals growth/changes.

Would you be able to put a date stamp on it so that we can see the growth time frame.

If you run a nutrient deprived system, the polyps will essentially become transparent, and the skeletal color will show through. Obviously, with my 20 or so fish system, that won't be happening in my tank any time soon

here is the progression of my tank. it started in october of 2006. the first pic is within three weeks of setup, i was still using the t-8's i had on my freshwater tank, my way smaller tanks. one light was 18" and the other 36". thinking back it makes me laugh. the last picture was taken this month.

yes sir, know that, but like you I love my fish too much.

Me too. Once you see them in person, you will be amazed. I got quite a few frags from both of them.
