Well, Casandra, my fiance, was getting on the 8w freeway, from West main, and went from 4 to 3 lane and a 18 wheeler went from 2 to 3 lane at same time. She gets smashed on the drivers side spins and hits Van on front right. No damage to her other than a little scare, but a lot of damage to the car. Bent rear axel/susp, whole drivers side from rear fender to front, little hood, front bumper, front left fender, 2 wheels, ect. here are some pics:

another, it doesn't roll easily with the bent rear axel so I left it and took the pics I could.

hitting the van after spin, little fender movement, shashed headlights and cracked bumper.

And the worst part is I dont think it is enough to salvage it either, or she'd get a MS miata and a new intercooler/exh/int for a smaller payment.

ouch.......that sucks, but the main thing is she is ok. Car can be fixed or replaced.

I just attended a friend's funeral on Monday. Who passed away because of some teacher run the red light, because he want to get to work faster last Tuesday morning. My friend is only 37, got 2 kids and a wife. It was a really sad tragity.

I vote RX-8 too but she doesn't want a 4 seat non convertible. I want an 8 too. The sad part was we were going to put a turbo kit on it from Flying Miata soon. I Hope it gets salvaged and that'llbe parts for the MSM.

Bummer, well at least you know its a safe car. Just remind yourself and her that you never know what can happen. So take advantage of the time you have together.

If they dont salvage that car I would be pretty upset. That car will never be anywhere close to the same again after that. It's a unibody right?

Yup, a unibody. I agree it will never have the structural rigidity as before. I just went through this with my Mom's Protege. They finally gave in and she got a new 6 s. I an only fight and hope. Sorry about your wife's car trickman, I know how much it sucks

Yeah I was just thinking about how much that sucks your Fiance got hit. When at about 4pm yesterday my wife calls me and told me she was in a accident. Some girl was not paying attetion and Ran into the guy behind her and That car went into Ours. Still I guess I shouldn't complain to much. The Car is still drivable and maybe 3 or 4 thousand of damage would be my guess. Again, The Cars can be replaced so I am happy that no one is hurt. :D
